Parish Council update

The Parish Council meeting in August was held after the deadline for The Messenger so there is no report on that meeting.

Some of you will have noticed some new smaller football goals with nets on the sports field. These were paid for and installed by the Parish Council. They are less robust than the traditional metal goals but it is hoped they will prove useful and, with care, sufficiently durable.

The attendance at the meeting about planning for the future of Gislingham was attended by approximately 40 people when we heard from MSDC what options were available to shape future development of the village. A decision was planned to be taken at the Council Meeting held on 24 August. To find the outcome, please read the draft Minutes whish are on the Council web site and on the notice board.

The next Parish Council help desk will be in the Village Hall on Saturday 5 September from 10am to 12 noon. The next Parish Council Meeting will be on Monday 21 September at 7:30pm.

Full reports from County and District Councillors and our PCSO as well as other matters such as maintenance of the play equipment, state of footpaths etc can be found in the draft Minutes available on the council website at http://gislingham.onesuffolk.net/ and on the notice board at the shop.

Generally, the first point of contact for any matters to do with the Parish Council is the Parish Clerk, Mr Terry Williams on gislinghamparishcouncil@gmail.com or by phone on 01379 783903. The alternative is Cllr Chris Pitt at chris@thepitts.org or 01379 788795.
