Confessions of a costume designer

By the time, you read this article we will be a quarter way through the year. Quite a sobering thought.

The WI have been busy in March. Some of our members attended the South-Eastern Federation Annual meeting at Trinity Park. We enjoyed some very interesting talks on various charities and associations who try to help people turn their lives around. They are very driven and remarkable people. The guest speaker of the day was Mark Horton an Archaeologist.  Some of you may have come across him on the BBC Coast programme. He spoke of his adventures on Coast and spoke passionately about the coast of East Anglia. I think we learned a lot and gained some knew knowledge of the area we live in. A good day was enjoyed by all.

The WI Fair at Alexandra Palace took place in March and a coach load of stalwarts from the WI set off on the 29th March for a day out.  (As I write this we have not gone yet but hopefully we will have a grand but tiring time. Will report next month.)

Our April meeting which is on the third Wednesday of the month, is entitled

Confessions of a Costume Designer

Pauline Baker

Providing costumes for TV and Theatre productions.

As you can see we have a very varied programme and as we go further through the year we will be kept busy with various ideas up the committee’s sleeves.

Come along and give us a try you won’t know what we get up to if you don’t visit us.
