Neighbourhood Watch update

The latest crime statistics published by the Police covers January 2017. During that month, they show one crime, a burglary in Finningham Road – as usual, no details.
A resident in West View Gardens reported that she saw a man carrying a length of guttering enter her neighbour’s property. She did not think that the neighbour had asked for roof work & challenged him – he left immediately in a blue panel van which was painted with a sign about roof repairs (she did not get the number or title, unfortunately). Well done – we must all look out for our neighbours!

A resident in Burgate road found that her oil tank was empty – when it should have been quite full. She can’t understand how the oil could have been taken without anyone noticing; we know that oil thieves can be very clever & the only way to foil them is for everyone to be watchful.
Apart from these items, it’s been a quiet month.
