Witnesses sought after phone cabling theft attempt

Internet and telephone connectivity was down in Gislingham after would-be thieves cut some of the cable that provides these services to the village. The incident took place after 11pm yesterday (Wednesday). The perpetrators were disturbed before they could complete the theft. Still quiet!

Once more I must report that there has been no crime within the village that has been brought to my attention. There have been a number of burglaries in neighbouring villages, several incidents of theft of catalytic converters and a recurrence of cable theft. The Police ask that everyone is vigilant & if something unusual

Neighbourhood Watch

After my last report stating how lucky we are living in such a safe village, no less than four incidents have recently reared their heads! On September 18th, between 1.30 and 5.30pm a heavy concrete and brass sundial together with two ornate chimney pots were stolen from the garden of South View ,Finningham Road, Gislingham.
